How all started...

Jesus Christus: “I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me."
The Bible - John 14:6

Man Bahadur reports:

The Savior and Lord Jesus Christ has given us the privilege to work among the children that are rescued from different areas and situations. The Living Faith Orphanage is run by me, pastor Man Bahadur Tamang and my wonderful wife Tara.

It all started in 2001 in the village Maidi, where I was born. After the death of my first wife I was concerned about the future of 2 y/o son and 7 m/o daughter, who could be rejected if I remarried. It was a really hard time but GOD helped us! Also he sent me my second wife Tara, who also accepted my children in such a lovely way and we married in 1999.

„Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow...“
The Bible - Isaiah 1:17

„Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress...“
The Bible - James 1:27

Both my personal situation and the Bible verses from Isaiah 1:17 and James 1:27 led me to adopt 2 orphans during the first year of my second marriage. As the police got informed, they soon requested us to care for another three orphaned kids.

Due to violence and instable political situation in the mountains we were forced to move down the town Dhading Besi.

Soon, a NGO status with the Nepali government was obtained. Although safely situated in the Dhading Bensi valley, we still had to move places several times. Finally, we moved in our current house on the hillside in 2005. Later, being granted a building loan, we extended the original house with extra rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor for getting more space for all family members.

In year 2015 Nepal was hit by two really hard earthquakes that also damaged our home. By the grace of God nobody of our family got injured.

And God did not desert us in this hard situation but gave us some sponsors e.g. from Germany and Switzerland. Through their support we were able to reconstruct our children’s home and even to built an additional floor on it. Moreover, we could also improve our interior and to install two better and more hygienic sanitary facilities.

Mercy and praise to our LORD Jesus Christ for it!

In 2017 Man Bahadur Tamang and his wife Tara were honoured by the chief of the district Dhading for their work with the children and their support of different villages after the earthquake in 2015.
